Services and Benefits
Benefits
Birth doulas give you physical and emotional support during prenatal and birth process. We have tools and materials we bring to help you be the most comfortable during your labor process. We'll coach you on the best ways to get your precious baby out and advocate as much as we can to make sure the hospital staff is serving you to the best of their ability. Most love the idea of an additional professional support person with great energy to really have a great birth experience.
Postpartum Doulas help you after you give birth physically and emotionally by being hands on helping around the house and with your newborn. Some may do after birth belly bonding and steams/sitz baths for you after birth. Our focus is checking in with you to process your birth, talk about any mood changes, and give resources to make sure you're healing great along with making sure you're resting so you heal.

Insurance
Doulas are slowly becoming covered through insurance, which is great! With myself being a certified Dona postpartum doula, my services may be covered with some companies. At the moment with my research, it looks like:
-
UnitedHealth Care
-
Aetna
-
Blue Cross Blue Shield
-
Carrot Fertility

I have reached out to see what all they cover for postpartum care and what I may need to do with being in network. Tricare covers birth doulas but allow postpartum hours, so I will reach out to them to inquire.

Once I receive information and am in network, I will update here what insurance is covered.

If you don't have insurance or your insurance doesn't cover care and you're not able to afford hourly rate, please do reach out so we can create a special package for you to works in your budget!
